Massage
Mark’s massage training and development has its origins in Hawaii. He studied Lomi Lomi, La Stone, Swedish, deep tissue, and Shiatsu while on the Big Island. Mark worked independently in his own practice and in a spa setting as the Principal Therapist in the Spa of the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel.
This style of massage known as Temple Lomi Lomi is one that is deeply relaxing and one that can facilitate a re-integration within the client. Temple style Lomi Lomi brings a sacredness into massage that can be felt by the client. Traditionally it was used for healing and as a right of passage for young adults. The recipient would receive massage for hours or even days, often causing a transcendental experience. It has components of most of the above modalities but with an emphasis on Lomi Lomi. This Hawaiian style uses long full strokes that can be done with medium or light strength for relaxation or deeper for more therapeutic affects. The oil used is an organic coconut oil with a small amount of essential oils added.
The massage treatment is a 75 minute experience or you can combine the energy healing with massage for a truly powerful treatment. It includes 60 minutes of massage followed by 30 minutes of Mark’s Integrative healing.
